Drake's House Got Soaked in Toronto's Wild Rainstorm

Drake Shows Video of Flooded Mansion as Torrential Rain Batters Toronto

Drake's House Turned into a Swimming Pool

Yo, so Drake posted a video on Insta this week of his fancy crib in Toronto basically turning into a wet mess. This dude's mansion got flooded, like, for real. It's called "the Embassy," and it's in this super swanky area called Bridle Path. In the video, you see all this brown, murky water rushing into his place, and he's just chilling there, joking about it being an Espresso Martini. Classic Drake, right?

Toronto's Epic Rainstorm

Toronto got absolutely drenched on Tuesday. It was like someone just opened the sky's floodgates. In just four hours, the city got more rain than it usually does in the whole month of July. That's nuts! They had to deal with streets that looked like rivers, trains and subways that stopped working, and so many people lost power. It was a real mess.

Everything's Underwater, Literally

The rain was so intense that the fire department had to deal with almost 1,700 calls in one day. Imagine that! They had to save more than 50 people stuck in elevators and help out over 20 folks who couldn't get out of their cars or buildings. And get this, even City Hall got wet – water was coming through the roof like it was nobody's business.

This Summer's Been Crazy with Storms

This isn't just a one-time thing, though. This summer's been wild with storms all over the place. Hurricane Beryl, which was like the boss of all hurricanes, hit the Caribbean and North America hard. It did some serious damage in places like Grenada and Jamaica, and then went to Texas, where it left cars floating and more than 2.5 million homes without power. It was a sad situation with at least nine people losing their lives.

What a Mess in Toronto

At the peak of the storm, 167,000 people in Toronto couldn't even use their lights or charge their phones because the power was out. You had cars bobbing around on a highway and even a tunnel that connects to an airport got flooded. This storm really showed how important it is for cities to be ready for crazy weather like this.

The Bigger Picture

This whole thing's a big deal because it's a reminder that weather's been going haywire lately. We need to make sure our cities are strong enough to handle these wild storms. It's important to be ready for anything Mother Nature throws our way, you know? So let's keep our fingers crossed for everyone dealing with the mess, and maybe invest in some good rain boots for the next time it hits.
