So, these detectives are really going all out to find this "third man" who might be connected to the sad story of two British guys who were found dead in a car that went up in flames in Malmo, Sweden. It seems like the plot just got thicker because now they're looking into whether this has anything to do with some gang-related gunfire drama.
Vanished British Business Buddies
These two dudes, Juan Cifuentes, 33, and Farooq Abdulrazak, 37, both from the north part of London, didn't come back home after a work trip to the Nordic lands. Tragically, their bodies popped up in their rented ride that someone had set on fire in a sketchy industrial area of Malmo.
Clues and Stuff
The Swedish newspaper, Sydvenskan, says the cops have some video from a CCTV camera showing their car crossing this big bridge called the Oresund Bridge from Denmark to Sweden. This has made the cops think that maybe there was a third person hanging out with them. Now, the Swedish cops are working hand in hand with the guys from Scotland Yard to figure out what the heck happened to them.
Keeping in Touch with Home
Someone from the London police talked to the media and said they're working with the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) to see if these dead guys are the same ones who were reported missing. The FCDO is also helping the families out and talking to the Swedish cops.
Remembering the Good Times
While the cops are trying to ID the bodies, a lot of love has been coming in for Juan. His sister is pretty sure it's him and Farooq, saying there's a "99 percent chance." Juan used to play for Welwyn Garden City FC and they posted a really sweet message on X (you know, the platform that used to be Twitter). They talked about how he was a top-notch player and a great guy when he was part of their winning team back in the 2014-15 season.
Juan's sis, Laura, talked to The Sun and shared her heartache, saying she's almost certain it's her brother and Farooq. The detectives are still on the job, trying to get to the bottom of this super sad story.
