Indian Prime Minister Modi to Head to Moscow, Says Russian State Media

Looks like Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a trip to Russia, which is kind of a big deal since it's his first time going there after the whole Ukraine situation happened. This visit is like a friendship bracelet between India and Russia, even though India is also pretty tight with the US.

Kremlin's mouthpiece, Yuri Ushakov, spilled the beans to TASS, a Russian news outlet, saying, "Yeah, we're totally getting ready for Modi to come to Moscow." But he's playing it cool about the exact dates, saying, "We're still sorting that out with India." So, it's definitely happening, just not sure when.

CNN tried to get a comment from India's folks who handle international stuff, but no word back yet.

This isn't Modi's first rodeo in Russia; his last visit was in 2019. And remember when he and Putin chatted at that big meeting in Uzbekistan last year? That's right, just before Putin's not-so-fun surprise for Ukraine. Modi basically said, "Hey, buddy, we're not into war these days." And before that, Putin swung by New Delhi for a visit.

This get-together is a pretty important move in the game of world politics. Everyone's going to have their eyes peeled to see how it affects everyone else and the big picture of who's friends with whom on the global playground.
